How it works

  1. Add your PDFDrop it in or choose a file. It opens in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.
  2. Pick a resolutionStandard for a smaller file, High for sharper slides.
  3. Download the .pptxEach page becomes one slide, with its appearance preserved.

What it preserves — and what it doesn’t

Every page is rendered at full fidelity and placed on its own slide, keeping the page’s aspect ratio so portrait and landscape pages both display correctly, centred without stretching or cropping. The look of each page is kept exactly.

Because each slide is a rendered image of the page, the text, shapes and images on it are not separate editable PowerPoint objects — you can’t click into the text and retype it. This is the reliable, honest way to turn a PDF into slides: it looks right, but it isn’t a rebuild of the original presentation. If you need an editable deck, start from the source file rather than the PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded?

No. Each page is rendered and placed into a PowerPoint file locally in your browser. The PDF is never sent to RedactLocal, and the tool keeps working with your network off.

Can I edit the text on the slides afterwards?

Not as text. Each slide is a rendered image of the page, so its appearance is preserved but the contents aren’t separate editable objects. For an editable deck, use the original presentation file.

Will portrait and landscape pages look right?

Yes. Each page keeps its aspect ratio and is centred on the slide without distortion or cropping, so mixed-orientation PDFs convert cleanly.
